Open Positions:
Youth Pastor
Purpose: The Youth Pastor will be responsible for leading and coordinating the youth ministry of the church, with a focus on helping young people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and become committed and active members of the church.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and implement all youth programs and events for middle school and high school students.
- Build relationships with youth, their families, and the community, with a focus on genuine care and mentorship.
- Provide counseling, discipleship, and pastoral care to youth as needed.
- Equip and train volunteers to serve within the youth ministry.
- Communicate regularly with parents and church leadership about youth ministry activities and events.
- Integrate youth into the life of the church, encouraging regular attendance and involvement in worship, service, and other activities.
- Oversee the safety and welfare of all youth involved in programs, ensuring compliance with all church and legal requirements regarding child protection.
Qualifications:
- A deep and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and a heart for ministry to youth.
- Bachelor's degree in ministry or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience working with youth in a church or para-church setting.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to connect with youth and adults alike.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing volunteers and coordinating programmatic activities.
- A passion for evangelism, discipleship, and outreach to unchurched youth.
